Well it is official...Josiah is the last Huwe baby. Today Dave went under the knife to make sure of it. Dave posted about his vasectomy on Facebook and his friend said it was TMI, sorry if it is TMI for you.
Now we are off to hang out with some friends for the weekend. There is no cell service where we are going so I won't be blogging until Sunday. Hope you all have a great weekend.
I tried to upload some pics of the family, but I couldn't do it from Dave's phone. Sorry!

31 for 21: My Really Big Girl
I love this girl so much.
I just can't believe how big she is. She has grown up so much in this past month since starting school. She is like a little sponge. She is absorbing everything at school. With Dave working so much I haven't been able to help out in the girls' classrooms. I am scheduled to help in Abby's class next Wednesday. I am excited to see how she interacts with her classmates and her teacher and to see their little routine in class.

31 for 21: Big Boy
Abby and Emma got new beds a few weeks ago. Emma was way too big for her toddler bed and we wanted to get Abby a new mattress since she's getting bigger now. We moved Abby's bed into Josiah's room. We figured he could skip the toddler bed and go straight to a big bed. It's been in his room for 2 weeks but I haven't tried to get him to sleep in it because he is a little, well a lot, on the feisty side and I thought he'd be tough to get to sleep in there. My husband, who is always up for the challenge, decided to put him in his big bed last night. He did amazingly well, by far the easiest of the three. He got out of bed a few times and Dave put him back and then he was out and slept great all night. Tonight he got up a few times, but went to sleep like a champ. I am in shock, but I hope he keeps it up. If so we'll be getting rid of our crib soon! He is officially the last Huwe baby for this family. (If you need a crib let me know. )

31 for 21: Daddy Makes Fun Toys
Dave made a cool toy for me today, but the kids think it's for them! We have to take our trash can a long 'ole way out onto the street and we have gravel in our drive way and on the street so it's impossible to drag it out there. I usually use a two wheel dolly to drag the cans out there, but Dave had a better solution....His toy is his riding lawn mower. The kids love it too. Whenever he mows they each get to ride with him and it's sooo exciting. So today he built a little trailer to go behind it so we can put the trash cans out there much easier. The kids were waiting patiently for me to get home today so they could all go for a ride. (I'd like to clarify something: The reason I've been taking out the trash is because Dave has been gone working. It's usually his job, but when he's gone I have to do it.)
Today I finally learned how to drive it. It was fun!

31 for 21: We Love Ice Cream
Today we went to Mesquite after church. We ate lunch and took the kids to get ice cream. Emma loves Dilly Bars. She always asks to get one.
Sorry about the short post, but I'm heading to bed!

31 for 21: Some Family Time
Today we finally spent time together as a family. We went to Dave's parents' house. Dave helped his Dad with some work he was doing and my wonderful Mother-in-Law watching the kids while I went shopping! I haven't shopped alone in sooooo long. It was quiet and peaceful. Dave and I had some fun on the drive home.
The kids were tuckered out.
When we got home Emma wanted to play doctor. She was checking Dave for a fever.
He's all better after she tucks him in with her blankie and favortie Pooh Bear.
These are the days I've missed so much. Just being together is a blessing.

31 for 21: An Encouraging Story
I saw this story a few weeks ago that just encouraged me. Have a look....
I just love that the kids at her school treat her with respect and treat her the same as they do other students. It's so amazing that the other girls who were nominated for homecoming queen told everyone to vote for her. Most high school girls are not that selfless. My friend that I just met here that has a girl with DS, said she feels like our community is like this. They are supportive and understanding. My greatest fear for Emma is the way other people treat her. I want to protect her and make sure that no one hurts her. I pray that she will be loved and accepted, that people will look past her label of Down Syndrome and see her for the person she is on the inside.
I love this little girl. I can't give those cute smooth checks enough kisses. She is so beautiful.
