Lots of Fun Stuff!

This past week has been a lot of fun! On Monday we got to meet our newest family member, the newest cousin, Maddy. She is soooo stinkin' adorable. She is so shy and just takes everything in. At the airport, (when we first saw her) she held hands with Abigail and let all of us give her hugs. She's been to our house a few times this week and let both Dave and I hold her. We are so looking forward to getting to know her.

Grandpa Huwe and Dave found a bike at a garage sale for Abigail. It's a little big for her, but she's already riding it around the neighborhood. Here are a few pics of her first try.

Dave and Abigail got to go on a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon this week. (Thanks to our good friend, Donnie, who is a helicopter pilot.) At first, she wanted to go, but then changed her mind and tried to talk Dave out of it all the way to the airport, but once she got on it she loved it. She talked about it all day.

We Can Hardly Wait!

Right now my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and nephew are in India! They are adopting a little girl and they went to pick her up...finally! We've been praying for them for forever. They picked the little girl they wanted to adopt over a year ago and so we've been praying for her and we can hardly wait to meet her. They've been updating us on their blog and emailing pictures of the first time they met her. It is so exciting. They'll be home a week from Monday! Yay! Of course, it will take her time to adjust to a new family, new country, new everything. We've had lots of discussions around our house about how the girls won't be able to play with her for awhile. So, we'll continue to pray for her and her transition and then the girls will go crazy playing with their new cousin!

Abby, The Smarty Pants

I cannot believe that Abigail is going to be 4 in May. She is getting so big. I love listening to her talk to Emma, especially when she's 'teaching' her new things. Last night she said, "Emma did you know that Jesus walked on water? I heard that in my class. Yeah, he did!" It was so adorable. (Now I'm bragging a little about her...) We picked her up from church on Sunday and there was a new lady working in her classroom. She said, "Wow, she is really smart. When does she turn 4? She is such a good listener and so well-behaved!" I was so proud! When we got in the car we started asking her about the lesson. She told us the story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well. Again, I was so proud! To be honest the millions of questions that she asks me each day start to wear on me, but then I remember that that is how she learns. I love to hear her curiosity about Jesus and God, it is so amazing!
I love this little (now big) cutie pie!
