What does a single mom of three, ages 4 and under, do you ask. Well, let me tell you. If I can remember....
~Take her husband to the airport
~Get the oil changed in the van
~Change the filters in the AC
~Take Abigail to the ER
~Pick up Mom from the airport
~Relax for a few days because she has someone to help her
~Finally get her hair done
~Pack clothes for herself and three kids to go to Phx
~Drive to Phx on a very hot day
~Find out her phone isn't receiving calls, so her brother calls to get it fixed because she is too exhausted
~Spend the day giving the kiddos lots of TLC because they miss their Daddy
~Go to the mall to play in the AC
~Spend the day with her best friend and her little kiddos
~Take the kids to see their great grandpa
~Relax while her brother visits her at their parents house
~Spend the day with her very good friend and her super cute little guy
~Go swimming
~Go swimming again
~Take the kids and their great grandma to DQ (Great Grandma paid, of course!)
~Go to her brother's house for burgers and more swimming
~Drive back to Vegas with her Dad and the kiddos
~Go to her nephew's bday party
~Take Dad to airport
~Go to see 'Hotel for Dogs' for free
~Take kids to story time at the mall and ride the carousel for free
~Go swimming at the rec center activity pool
~Go the mall for the Penguin and Polar Bear exhibit
~Clean out the kids pool (again)
~Give the dog a bath
~Scoop poop (again)
~Water the trees and flowers (again)
~Cut Abby's hair
~Cut Emma's hair
~Do laundry for the 20th time :)
~Clean the bathrooms
~Clean the floors
~Pay bills
~Make doctor's appts
~Take Emma for a check up (doing great, no traces of gluten antibodies in her blood...woohoo!!)
~Give many baths
~Clean out the fridge
~Make and wash a ton of bottles
~Change hundreds of diapers
~Put in lots of ponytails
~Dress the kids
~Make lots of meals and clean it up
~Pick up the toys (again)
~Get the mail
~Take out the trash
~Talk to her husband on Skype
~Tickle the kids, dance with the kids, read to them, play with them, sing with them, dance with them, cuddle them
So, if you ever wondered what it's like to do it all by yourself, now you know. The one disclaimer I make is that my mom and dad were a big help!
With all that said...I can't wait to pick Dave up from the airport on Sunday!!!
you are amazing! i must say that you are making aug 1-12th seem not so much fun for me... mike has a 12 day shift and it will be my turn to be a single mom. ugh....
