Dave is gone for 2 1/2 weeks and we are already missing him. Things seem to always be a little crazy around the Huwe household. The day before Dave left we took Abigail to the ER because her tummy was hurting so bad that she was screaming. They ruled out appendicitis and said it was most likely a urinary tract infection and sent us home with antibiotics. On Thursday she was doing much better. On Friday morning we went to her doc for a follow up and he said her urine looked ok. By 1:30 she had a fever again and was feeling awful. Around 7pm she threw up, they said if she got worse or started vomiting to bring her back in. So Dave's parents came to get Josiah and Emma and I took her in again. The new doc in the ER said after the culture came back from Wed it showed that she did not have a uti, but it was most likely a virus. They did a chest xray and ruled out pneumonia. So, we all ended up spending the night at Dave's parents. I am so grateful and happy that we have family close by. Abby is feeling better today and so far no fever.
Another thing I'm grateful for is Skype. It makes it a little easier being able to see Dave and talk to him while he's away. It's still hard on the kids so please pray for them while he's gone.
