Trip to Cali

We went to see Dave for the weekend when he was working in LA.
We took the kids to Universal Studios, not realizing that it's not so kid friendly.  Abby kept asking when we could go on a ride.  The BackLot Tour wasn't a ride in her book.  Oh well, you win some you lose some!  It was still a good day.

Then we went to the beach.

I like this one of Emma a lot.
I think he was a little tired, he looks funny.

We also went to a cool science museum.  The LA Memorial Coliseum is right next to it so I took a pic of it 'cause I thought it looked cool with the sun behind it.
We had a little picnic in front of the Coliseum first.  That dog in the background joined us, he wanted some lunch too.
They have beautiful rose gardens too.
I have a picture of Dave throwing Abby when she was young, so I wanted one of Emma too.
Abby is a little too big now.

 Finally inside the museum.

All three of them loved this aquarium.
 I love her concentration face.
They were picking up that red truck at the far end of the picture.

A New Cousin

Dave went to LA to work for a two weeks, so we went to Phoenix to meet Gage, the kiddos new little cousin.
The kids always love to go swimming at Uncle Logan's house.  Emma likes to cuddle with her future aunt on the raft.
 Abby and Grandma cuddling.
Lil guy can stand, but rarely does it.  At this point I'm not sure if he'll ever walk!!!
 There he is....Baby Gage!
Abby has been waiting to get her hands on him.
 Emma loves him too.
My mom and Abby have their birthday on the same day.  We celebrated their birthdays when we were there.
 Me and the little sweetie.
My parents' church has these really cool palm trees in the front.  I've been dying to take pictures of the kids there.  Of course, they weren't in the mood to 'pose' for mom, but I got a few good ones.

I got some family pictures too.

It's so hard to get them all to cooperate!

Abby's 5th Birthday

Here are some pictures of the birthday girl at her party.
The kids had fun playing with the balloons.

The kids played a little 'Pin the tail on Bullseye'.

She loved this Rex she got.
I made her a cake that looked like Jessie's hat.

Abby & Emma helped clean up after the party.  Emma's face is awesome in this pic.
 Josiah helped out also.

We celebrated Abby, Dave, and Gordon's birthday the next day, on her actual birthday.  We saved Abby's cake for that day.
