Cousins are the Best!
Last week the girls had the best week with their cousin, Hannah. She was here for the entire week. Abby had fun when Hannah came over after church and dressed her up and did her hair. We celebrated Hannah's birthday with the whole family the first day she was here. We got her a Build a Bear gift card. Emma also had a gift card for B.A.B. so all three girls got something. We also went to Pump it Up. Abby had the best time with Hannah. I think Hannah is the only person with enough energy to keep up with her. Needless to say, there were many tears after Hannah went home. They are definitely looking forward to the next time she comes to visit!

Still No Name
Why is it so hard to pick a name for a boy? It was so easy picking names for the girls. We've known it's a boy for about 2 months so you'd think we'd have one by now. We have narrowed it down to 2 names, but I honestly cannot decide which one. I feel this pressure about picking the 'right' name. I know it's silly and that there is no right or wrong name, but I'm feeling it anyway. Luckily my fabulous husband is not hormonal like me so he is easy going about it. Anywho, hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be blogging about the chosen name. Sorry to keep you waiting....

Adventures with Daddy!
My girls just LOVE their Daddy! You should see them when he comes home from work each night. They both get SO excited. He is always doing fun things with them. Of course, the #1 activity with Daddy is wrestling. But a few weeks ago Dave gave them a new adventure....the 'Stair Slide'. He put a table on the bottom few stairs and they have been sliding down it like crazy. Take a look...

Another fun thing he introduced them to...bubble wrap. Abigail has her Daddy's creative spirit and decided that jumping on the bubble wrap on the trampoline is more fun than popping it the regular way! Ahhh, never a dull moment....just wait until there is a boy in the mix!

On a side note....Emma is getting stronger and doing much better taking steps. She's standing on the trampoline all by herself and trying to jump without holding on. Yay! I'm so thankful her Physical Therapist suggested this trampoline. It's been fun for both girls.

Kids Say the Craziest Things #2
So, last night Dave asked Abigail who she wanted to lay with her at bedtime. Her response "Mom-mu". I was already feeling like Shamu, and now it's official that I look like Shamu! She definitely has a way of humbling me.
I've gotten quite large in the mid-section with baby boy. I'm a lot bigger than I was with the girls. Here's a peek at my belly at 22 weeks.

Emma Is Almost Walking!
Emma has been getting so close to walking. She's been taking 3 or 4 steps on her own for a while now. The favorite activity of the house this week...Abby and Emma hold hands and walk all over downstairs. It's completely adorable. The cutest part is that Abby always says, "Come on, Sweetie!" as they are walking.

Tonight she wanted to wear Abby's pants (weird, I know!) Anyway, she was wearing these big pants all rolled up, but she was still kind of slipping on them and Dave said "Come on Emma walk to me." So she did! She walked across the kitchen (like 8 steps) on her own and then back again! It was the most amazing thing I've seen! After that I grabbed the camera. So, here is Emma taking some steps. Please continue to pray for her. She is so close.

The 'Kick Back'
Oh, it's finally here....Dave was 'playing' with our baby boy last night. For over 2 months I've been feeling the boy moving around in my belly and finally last night Dave felt him. I think one of Dave's favorite games when I'm pregnant is pushing on my belly and waiting for the little one to kick back. It's always fun to watch him talk to the baby and push on my belly. The other day he was kicking like crazy and I tried to get Abigail to slow down long enough to feel it, but she was wanting to play. Oh well, eventually she'll slow down long enough.

Christmas 2009
We celebrated Christmas in 2 parts like we usually do. 1st with the Huwes a few days before Christmas. The Bradens always come to visit sometime before or after Christmas. The girls LOVE their cousins so much. I love that they talk about them all the time, even though they don't live very close.

Then we went to Phoenix for Christmas. We haven't celebrated with my family on Christmas since the first year we were married, so it was nice to see the entire family while we were there. The girls had a blast with my cousins' kids. They haven't seen them in forever, but they still had a great time. Hailey even asked Abby to come sleep over at her house!
I tried to get pictures of the girls together on Christmas night in their new pajamas, but it wasn't happening. They were more interested in wrestling and crawling under Grandma's tree.
I did manage to get a few pictures of them in their Christmas dresses in front of our tree when we got home. (Although, I did have to wait until the wrestling ceased!) It seems like every Christmas our lives are completely different, and it's exciting to think about next Christmas with a new baby boy! I can't wait!!!
