Buddy Walk 2010

The Buddy Walk was on Saturday. Wow, it was a very hot day, but it was worth it! We raised $1,000!! I was so overwhelmed again by the generosity of family and friends supporting Emma and Down Syndrome. What was most overwhelming to me was the people who I hardly know, but are friends of family or co-workers, that gave. That was a blessing for me this week...How some people are so generous and kind to those they don't know. It definitely challenged me to be more giving. Anyway, thanks to all who supported us! Here is a look at our afternoon at the walk.
Here is the star of the day. She was soooo tired. It was way past her nap.

This one is precious!

The first year we started this tradition of taking Emma's picture with everyone. She wasn't so cooperative this year since she was extremely tired.

I had to jump in the picture because she didn't want anyone else to hold her.

We were finally on our way.

The whole gang.

Throughout the walk there were volunteers to cheer you on. They would chant, "Go Team Emma!" Emma would just stare at them.

She finally fell asleep. We had to use a shirt to keep her out of the sun.

After the walk...ready to go home.
