Today was the day that wouldn't end! It started with Abby going to the van to get her shoes and closing her hand in the door. Ouch! I took Emma and Josiah for a ride in the bike trailer today. I left the dogs home because they like to run in front of my bike. I stopped to adjust the trailer and here come two dogs my direction. Yes, they were mine. Chewbacca figured out how to open the gate we rarely use. I have trouble getting it open. Smart dog! I took them home and started off again, only to be joined by the dogs a few minutes later. I let them come along, but it was not the relaxing bike ride I was hoping for. When we got home Emma scratched her back on the concrete stairs outside and only wanted Daddy.
Josiah has a gluten intolerance too. His symptoms are just like Emma's when he comes in contact with wheat....diarrhea. Yuck! Anyway, he has been recovering from getting contaminated so he was fusy. He only got a half hour nap because I had a meeting for Emma's IEP at school. Emma's teacher has dress up clothes in her class so the girls were playing dress up while I had a meeting with Emma's teacher and three other on the Special Ed. team. I look over to see them in their underwear putting the dress up clothes on!!! We have talked many times about playing dress up at someone else's house and how they have to leave their clothes on underneath when dressing up. This must have slipped their minds today! Oh, they are funny. They were very well behaved during the meeting, bcsides being half naked.
The kids were so tired this afternoon that it was like a crying match between the three of them. I took them outside to go for a ride in the lawn mower trailer. That kept them happy. I would've drove all over town if I could, but I didn't know how much gas was in it and with the way my day was going I figured I better go home before we were stranded on the side of the road.
Now I've had a few hours of peace and quiet and I'm feeling a little more like myself. Just wanted to vent a little since Dave is still at work. Thanks for listening. I promise the next post with be happier.
