31 for 21: Fun at the Ranch, Part 4

Today was a much better day.  The kids gave mom a break from the crying.  I was very happy about that!

Josiah's favorite things in life:  brooms, rakes, shovels, pipes, pitch forks (we keep him away from that last one!)  No matter where we are he will find one and carry it around.

Don't you just want to kiss those cute chubby cheeks?
Josiah was excited when he saw Dave walking over to him.

This is the lodge we stayed in.
It's so beautiful up there.
Ron took the kids for a long ride.  Abby kept talking about it.
She really wants a four wheeler so this made her day.

31 for 21: Fun at the Ranch, Part 5

(This is my last post for the ranch!)  Robin took the kids to the garden to dig up potatoes and carrots.  They liked finding them, but they weren't so helpful in the digging department.
There were some funky looking potatoes.
Josiah was needing a nap, but he did great.  He was just a little mellow.
Emma was more into playing in the dirt.

His look cracks me up in this one.

31 for 21: The Day That Wouldn't End!

Today was the day that wouldn't end!  It started with Abby going to the van to get her shoes and closing her hand in the door.  Ouch!  I took Emma and Josiah for a ride in the bike trailer today.  I left the dogs home because they like to run in front of my bike.  I stopped to adjust the trailer and here come two dogs my direction.  Yes, they were mine.  Chewbacca figured out how to open the gate we rarely use.  I have trouble getting it open.  Smart dog!  I took them home and started off again, only to be joined by the dogs a few minutes later.  I let them come along, but it was not the relaxing bike ride I was hoping for.  When we got home Emma scratched her back on the concrete stairs outside and only wanted Daddy.

Josiah has a gluten intolerance too.  His symptoms are just like Emma's when he comes in contact with wheat....diarrhea.  Yuck!  Anyway, he has been recovering from getting contaminated so he was fusy.  He only got a half hour nap because I had a meeting for Emma's IEP at school.  Emma's teacher has dress up clothes in her class so the girls were playing dress up while I had a meeting with Emma's teacher and three other on the Special Ed. team.  I look over to see them in their underwear putting the dress up clothes on!!!  We have talked many times about playing dress up at someone else's house and how they have to leave their clothes on underneath when dressing up.  This must have slipped their minds today!  Oh, they are funny.  They were very well behaved during the meeting, bcsides being half naked.

The kids were so tired this afternoon that it was like a crying match between the three of them.  I took them outside to go for a ride in the lawn mower trailer.  That kept them happy.  I would've drove all over town if I could, but I didn't know how much gas was in it and with the way my day was going I figured I better go home before we were stranded on the side of the road.

Now I've had a few hours of peace and quiet and I'm feeling a little more like myself.  Just wanted to vent a little since Dave is still at work.  Thanks for listening.  I promise the next post with be happier.

31 for 21: Fun at the Ranch, Part 3

Robin took the kids to pick apples from the orchard while we were there.  She would shake the apples off the tree and they would run and grab one and then throw it in the box.  This was probably their favorite thing because it  involved eating!
Landon has some cute facial expressions too.

Larissa climbing the tree to find some apples.

 Landon's giving Emma some love.
She loves climbing trees.  She thought it was great that she got to climb a tree to pick an apple.
Eventually they gave into their tummies and spent time eating rather than gathering!

She never stands still long enough to smile when she is playing.  I thought I'd document that she did one time for me!
Josiah looks so old in this picture.  He's not my little baby anymore.  (Sniff, sniff)

31 for 21: Fun at the Ranch, Part 2

The kids were outside playing most of the weekend.  They had fun running back and forth in the grass and climbing on this wall.

Alexa has the cutest facial expressions.
She cracks me up with her tongue out.  It's always out when she concentrates.
Robin was doing story time with the kids.  They were so into the story of Daniel and the Lions Den.

31 for 21: Fun at the Ranch, Part 1

We had a great weekend with our friends relaxing after the big vasectomy surgery!  I left out a few details.  Some of you may know our friends, Donnie and Christina.  We have had all our kiddos around the same time.  Larissa is 2 months older than Abby.  Emma is 2 weeks older than Alexa.  Josiah is 2 months older than Landon.  So, we figured the boys could get their vasectomies together to just make things go full circle.  (Again, sorry if this is too much information for you!)  Donnie's dad is a Urologist so he performed both of the guys surgeries.  After that we went up to Donnie's parents Ranch.  We have been up there several times and we love it there.  It's up near Great Basin National Park.  Donnie's mom always cooks us some yummy food and spoils us.
Here are the girls before we left.
 The boys.
 Silly boys with their doctor.
 Me and Christina
 Us with Donnie's mom, Robin.
We had a great time.  More pictures to come....

31 for 21: It's Official

Well it is official...Josiah is the last Huwe baby. Today Dave went under the knife to make sure of it. Dave posted about his vasectomy on Facebook and his friend said it was TMI, sorry if it is TMI for you.

Now we are off to hang out with some friends for the weekend. There is no cell service where we are going so I won't be blogging until Sunday. Hope you all have a great weekend.

I tried to upload some pics of the family, but I couldn't do it from Dave's phone. Sorry!
